Infectious in a contemporary young adult novel that was written in 2018. It is not a covid novel, though it does deal with a fictional virus.
Sixteen-year-old Maddy doesn't want to be the new girl, but as bad as it is that her parents made her move, everything gets so much worse when she accidentally releases a deadly virus into her new town.
Maddy has to work with a secret government agency and follow some deranged scientists clues to save the people she loves in the town where she never wanted to live.
*Infectious is about a PG - PG13 rating for a few mild curse words, some innuendo, and small amounts of violence.
