\nThe sun shone through a crack in window blinds. Allie\u2019s eyes fluttered and opened and she sat up with a smile. Today was the day she was going applepicking! She had been waiting for this all week! Allie pictured the orchard in her head. Rows of beautiful little apple trees with bright red apples, golden yellow apples, tart green apples, and even some super sweet pink apples!
\nAllie jumped out of bed and ran out into the hallway to see if anyone was up. The house was still very quiet, but her parents\u2019 bedroom door was open. She peeked around the corner. They weren\u2019t in bed. Allie ran to the stairs. The warm scent of coffee meant that her parents were awake too! As she came down the stairs, her mom said, \u201cGood Morning!\u201d with a smile in her voice.
