Jimmy Osmond, 1976 \u2014 For my money, it just doesn\u2019t get any better than thirteen-year-old Jimmy Osmond pleading with Santa not to bring him a sleigh for Christmas. See, there\u2019s not enough snow and ice in Los Angeles \u2014 where Jimmy Osmond lived at the time \u2014 for a sleigh to be practical, or even useful. That\u2019s all Jimmy\u2019s saying. It just wouldn\u2019t make sense, would it? A sleigh, in Los Angeles? Sacramento, maybe. Sure, it\u2019s hardly the North Pole, but you\u2019d be close enough to the mountains that you could just drive a few miles out of town \u2014 or get one of your eight siblings to drive you, in Jimmy\u2019s case \u2014 to the country for the occasional sleigh ride. But not in Los Angeles. That\u2019s just silly.
