In 2019,  a story broke that an astronaut at the International Space Station was involved in what could have been the first space crime. The astronaut was subsequently found to be the victim of slander and their accuser was charged with lying to federal investigators. As such, we will not be mentioning the astronaut's name, which country they hailed from, or what was the alleged crime.

This incident was quickly billed among many newspapers as the \\u201cfirst space crime,\\u201d and this episode will explore what the first space crime may be, and will be excluding nation versus nation. How will the crimes be prosecuted and how will criminals be treated?
