We have heard about retinol; it is not a new ingredient. But what are the many forms of retinoids? How are they converted in the skin? How do we select the appropriate form and navigate an onboarding to skin care routines? We answer all these questions and more with Amanda Hughes! Amanda is a licensed esthetician and spa owner with 15 years\u2019 experience in the treatment room. Though she has spent most of her spa career in medical spas, she is also an esthetician instructor for continuing education and cosmetic chemistry. She is an avid cannabis educator and activist, jewelry designer, evolving herbalist, and passionate advocate for plant medicine. She owns Skintelligence Texas and is the founder of Higher Education Texas.\xa0
Ella Cressman is a licensed esthetician, certified organic formulator, business owner, and absolute ingredient junkie! As an educator, she enjoys empowering other estheticians and industry professionals to understand skin care from an ingredient standpoint rather than a product-specific view.
She has spent many hours researching ingredients, understanding how and where they are sourced, as well as phytochemistry, histological access, and complementary compounds for intentional skin benefits. In addition to running a skin care practice, Cressman founded a comprehensive consulting group, the HHP Collective, and has consulted for several skin care lines, including several successful CBD brands.
