Rabbi Daniel Swartz, Spiritual Leader of Temple Hesed in Scranton and Executive Director of the Coalition on the Environment and Jewish Life, speaking about his invitation from the Vatican to take part in an ongoing multifaith effort to address climate change, "Faith & Science: Towards COP26". After 7 months of preparations and drafting a document the unified appeal was signed at the Vatican and sent on the the 26th UN Conference on Climate Change in Glasgow in November 2021. Rabbi Swartz will offer a program titled, "Our Common Home: Vatican & Multifaith Engagement on Environment & Climate Justice" on Thursday, February 10, 2022, as part of the World Affairs Luncheon Seminars presented by the Schemel Forum at the University of Scranton from noon to 1:30.
