This week\u2019s episode features Las Vegas tattoo artist DJ Tambe. DJ currently has thousands of people on his waiting list and charges premium rates for his tattoo services.
Today we chat about the benefits of putting yourself in the public eye in order to grow your art business and the hesitations that come with it. We all want to lock ourselves in our studio and create all day but it\u2019s what we showcase outside of those walls that makes customers come knocking.
Talking with DJ made me realize how many similarities there are in building a business with a paint brush versus a tattoo gun. It\u2019s the same in that you start by practicing to enhance a skill then get to networking to build a portfolio. Then it\u2019s all about word of mouth and promotion to go up from there.
