I am the master procrastinator.
Anybody else?
Because I catch myself doing this more often than I like to admit, I landed on this idea of sprints.
A sprint is when you go head down and focus on getting one thing done. This can last a week, month, or whatever length of time you need to get that thing done.
In this episode I want to dig into sprints and how this could potentially benefit you and your productivity and avoid putting things on the back burner.
TAKEAWAYS:
- Identify the thing you have been putting on the back burner. If it’s something that needs to be done but you don’t want to, outsource it. If you are not able or want to outsource it, you will have to find and make the time to make it happen.
- What needs to happen to make it happen? What do you need to have in place? What do you need to know? What do you need to create? Ask yourself these questions. For most people it comes down to their time. So what do you need to sacrifice to get the thing done?
- Identify your why. Why are you doing this thing and why is it important to you? Do you actually need and want this project to be a part of your business? If you don’t know WHY you’re not going to do it, you’re not going to have a reason to do it.
